Hamilton Mattress is a story about Sludger, an aardvark who is currently unsatisfied with his place in this world.  He wants to be one of the "beautiful people"; and as luck would have it, an up-in-the-tree talent scout overhears Hamilton as he plays rhythmically while eating.

This film won numerous awards at festivals in Britain, Georgia, as well as Florida, and many more.

This is a charming story about finding ones place.  It was a joy seeing this; while watching you can't help but notice the music and the groovy end rhythm.  One thing that adds to this charm is the animation with puppets.  Puppets are most charming I woud say.

This was directed by Berry Purves and Produced by Christopher Null (who also produced Wallace & Gromet: Wrong Trousers);  And with voice acting by David Thewlis, Henry Goodman, Lindsey Duncan, and more; makes this a fun watch.

Because of the fact this is a 30minute short the release was limited to DVD and home video; and if you were fortunate enough to see it at a festival (like the Florida Film Fest in 2002) you were sure to have enjoyed it.

They could have done more I feel to get this movie more known; Since the film has great music I would have played the trailer before the beat boxers concert who sung "Hamiltons Rap" JCOOL.

I suppose because it is a short there aren't many reviews from critics, or an official site.  If you wish to get a hold of a copy the best way is through amazon.
